Tales of a Texas Grandpa
~by Paul D. Sturkie, Phd.

In 1992 Dr. Paul D. Sturkie, world renowned avian physiologist, completed a collection of stories of his Texas boyhood. A real departure from his usual subject matter, this series of vignettes gives a humorous portrayal of what it was like to grow up in rural Texas in the early part of the twentieth century.
